Copyright and abuse
Reporting a public link
Every public link page has a Report this link button. Reports go straight to the site administrator, who can switch off the link while it is looked into. You can also email abuse@rooktrove.com.
Copyright infringement notices (DMCA)
If you believe material shared through RookTrove infringes your copyright, send a notice to the designated agent at abuse@rooktrove.com containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
- The RookTrove link (the address beginning
/s/) where the material is available. - Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

On a valid notice, the link is disabled and the member is told. Members who repeatedly infringe will have their accounts closed.

If your link was disabled and you believe that was a mistake or that you have the right to share the material, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with: your signature; identification of the material and the link before it was disabled; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and telephone number; and consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.
